As the year draws to an end and we get ready to welcome in 2010 Dominion Irelands longest running Goth/Industrial/EBM/Alternative club the host next weekend to DJs Sebzy,Fi and Jess playing the best of Goth, Eighties, Newwave, Deathrock, Electro, Punk, EBM, Industrial, Cheeese, Alternative and FuturePop. It's going to be a night to remember.

Just off the phone to Declan and there has been a tree planting organised in memory of John who passed away last year.
The tree will be planted in the park beside the Nine Arches bridge (Milltown bridge see pic below) at 11:30am on Friday 27th February 2009.

The park/bridge was one of Johns favourite places so it's fitting to have the planting there.

Directions
A group of us will meeting up outside the St Stephen's green main gate facing Grafton street at 10:30 and proceeding by LUAS to Milltown

Milltown (LUAS stop) is located on Luas Green line which departs from St Stephen's green.
The exact location of the planting in the park is not known yet but I'm sure we will be hard to miss.
There will be people there from 11.

The following buses run to Milltown too 14A, 44, 44B-C, 48A.

The planting will start at 11:30am sharp

What a weekend
Friday night was taken up with with a tript to the Village to see

I've meticously sorting through my music video collection (will post a list soon) for the past week or so and have just about finished. The plan is to catalogue the all into genre and then demo them all through my video mixer just to make sure there will be no hitches during performances.

I've been testing the new laptop with the VJ software quite a but today and here it is in action.



Well thats where I am right now and just have to get another one or two things sorted out such as a MIDI interface controler

Night night again.

I've been quiet for quite some time debating what to write here for all to see.

Past
- Finished my exams for semester 1 and hope to have passed all but even if I don't I'll make it through.
- Have got way way too drunk in the past months (a bit strange for me) It must just be the stress of life and collage.
- Have been out with my camera quite a few times [Have a look at my flickr page]
- Bought a new little camera a canon powershot G10 it's going to be the new pocket cam.

Present
- Back from a drink with Fi in memory of a good friend who passed away last year.
- Just sitting here thinking about what to type
- Still sorting through all my music video's it's taking days just to view a few seconds of each. Expect a Video night to be announced soon.

Future
- Want to get more Art, DJing, Collage and photography done over the next few months.
- Waiting for my new laptop to arrive from dell (any day now)
- This weekend I'll be flying over to London to play with the nice people in dead and buried just hope the snow lifts
- Will be going to the Rocky Horror Picture Show on valentines day with a few friends but will be taking pictures most of the time.
- Will be going to dominion after that and dancing alone :( (I'm just in a mood today)

- Should be going to this too




- Still looking for a new place to live and maybe even thinking about buying a small apartment (Prices have dropped lots)
- Hope to be setting up a music experiment very soon well as soon as I find a place of my own with insulated walls :)


See have lots to look forward too but still find myself wishing for the past every day.

Bulmers and stout

Well it's been quiet an interesting two week

Took last week off work and got the following done

I've decided to just type a few words and insert many images you can make up the rest.

- Walked around the coast alone to gather my thoughts and took one or two pics. I miss having free time to do such things it just seems that lately I'm running around and always have 100 and 1 things to do.

- Took a walk around Howth head with Fi.

 

- Did some work on my industrial Decay project in Droghead with kasia

 

- Explored the national transport museum in howth with Fi

- Got lost in the wicklow mountains for 2 days and took losts of pictures

 

- Learned some more german

With the aid of my trusty iphone and about 54 hours of spoken classes i've mastered how to say "i have no idea what I'm saying"

 

- Watched Bablyon A.D.

it's the worst film i've seen in many years and please think twice before going to see it.

 

- Uploaded images from my most recent trip to Dusseldorf,Germany

- Went Swimming in the sea at night

 

Just was out in the Budda bag shop last night watching a special screening of "The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters" it's a great little film about the rivalry between two men and their love of Donky kong.

Well it's been one of those strange weekends (again)

Was feeling quite ill on friday (no idea why) so went and had a nap but work up saturday morning missing dominion completely. Saturday I went out shopping around the city looking for a new jacket for a project I'm working on. Was walking around in the rain most of the day which lifted my spirtis quite a bit it's just something about being wet on the outside and damp on the inside that makes me feel quite happy.

just kept thinking of one of my fave songs of all time "Garbage - only happy when it rains"

Strange all this makes me happy when thinks turn all grey.
Life is sure complicated but that said it's somehting to fix.


Now sitting down after watching  "Lost boys - The tribe" contemplating going out into town to say hello to humans.

Oh back to the lost boys film it's quite bad but watchable had one or two good points but surely not the story or production or even the acting. It's all up to a few good lines and acting by Frog and memorys of the original :( well the soundtrack was not too bad but thats it.

A little update of sorts.

Been one crazy week or two over here in the land of Seb.

last weekend was festival week but not as you all know it, I was working hard up at Charleville castle at Castlepalooza.

It all started Friday evening with a trip to Co Offaly and then right to bed and an early start on Saturday. Was officially working as a sound technician but got drafted for security / parking / organising etc....

Time flys when you are rushed off your feet. Anyway the festival went well and the reviews in the papers were good Monday morning.

Looking forward to M'era Luna Festival this weekend and will post more when I'm back.

Right back from fishing up in dalkey (just had to vanish today) cough nothing so thought to write some thoughts.

Well this had been one whopper of a weekend/week to say the least with all the bits to do with the gig on sunday and work as usual. Well all that and not to mention personal matters. Combichrist went better than just well I got about half the show between running around doing stuff. Took quite a few pictures and will post them up soon.

Just wanted to say a huge thanks to the amazing Fi who made the gig possible.

In other news walked about 15km's yesterday up in wicklow up near Powerscourt with a good friend Kasia. When I'm stressed or just need to get away she's beyond belief.

Sitting now watching "The Mist" now and it's one hell of a big bug film WOW.

Oh my non-existent god just spent the last half hour getting into my new boots and their nothing special just 16 hole docks. Maybe I should have given and undone the laces first.

Anyway it was fun and I regret nothing.
